Wanting to mark the retirement of both a very accomplished woman who really took me under her wing at work, and her husband and National Sales director who is a man I admired for twenty years, I asked the question, “Where is your happy place?”

There was a pause and then—a minute later, with the sound of a smile in her voice—she responded: “Chedabucto Bay and our future retirement home.”

This sunrise depicts the start of their next adventure. The only building in this snowy landscape that reflects onto the surface of the bay is the clock tower of the Old Post Office which happens to be their happy place.
